LOG & TIMBER RAILING

Our log railings are custom-built to fit your home.
Choose between Aspen, Timber Frame, Red Cedar, or White Cedar railing.

How To Measure For Railing

  1. Begin by making a floor plan. All measurements should be formatted in inches and accurate to 1/8 of an inch. Use graph paper if possible.

  2. Measure and record each section on your floor plan. Do not measure your existing railing. All measurements should be taken from the outermost section of the deck or floor.

    • Measure from corner to corner (or wall to wall), noting all angles.

    • Note any permanent posts. Include the size of the posts as well as the distance between the posts.

  3. Stair Measurements

    • Measure from the bottom step tread nosing to the top of the landing.

    • Note the angle of the stairs.

      • We suggest purchasing a digital angle gauge, digital level, or downloading a digital level app on your phone.
